About YCSI

Our History

YCSI was established in 2003 to as an Initiative under the LifeLine Plus Foundation (LLPF), which was founded in 2000 during the peak of the HIV/AIDS crisis in Nigeria.
LLPF implemented life-saving interventions across states including Sokoto, Taraba, Enugu, Ebonyi and Anambra, focuing on community-based care and stigma reduction. YCSI emerged from a deep commitment to support orphans and vulnerable childern (OVCs) affected by HIV/AIDs, particularly following the high mortality rate among women living with Hiv. In response to widespread stigmatisation, the Enugu State Widows Against Aids (EWAA) was formed, providing skills training such as bead making, bag and shoe production to empower affected women.
overtime, YCSI expanded her scope beyond HIV/AIDS to Climate resilience, Child Right Protection, GBV issues, Governance, Public health Advocacy etc. YCSI is officially registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (2005).
